What a great in-cosmetics woresan had this year.
We are very thankful for the hospitality on the booth of Inter Actifs / ACETO, our new Distributor for France.

It seemed like the whole in-cosmetics had only two topics. Microbiome supporting ingredients and longterm fermented ingredients.
Almost needless to mention that WORESANA^® were in centre of attention.

Microbiome based cosmetic and microbiota activity is way more than just another trend.
Obviously the industry has accepted that the skin microbiome is in the first line of interest for modern healthy skin care.

Furthermore woresan´s biomimicry, of using natural concepts and processes in modern manufacturing to produce highly active and efficient skin care ingredients was accepted.

woresan met with numerous interesting potential customers from all around the world.
We met with small start-up companies, well established local brands and mayor global player.
Furthermore, we met almost all our international distributors, packed with great news from their local markets as well.
woresan is proud to have a very active team of professional specialists around the world.

At this point I would like to acknowledge again the warm hospitality of Cecile Nayl and her whole team.
The high level of professionalism and commitment combined with friendliness and creativity made the event to one sheer pleasure.

PCHi 2019, 26-28. February 2019, Shanghai

At this years PCHi WORESANA^® ingredients were presented to China´s beauty industry.

According to our Chinese distributor Owen Trading there was big interest in WORESANA^® ingredients.

As the interest in woresan´s classical USP´s “organic, sustainable, prebiotic, active, microbiome supportive” are constantly rising in China as well, we expect further increase on the Chinese beauty market.

In May Owen Trading will present WORESANA^® ingredients on China Beauty Expo as well.

SMA technical seminar 2019, Fort Lauderdale

woresan GmbH was presenting the WORESANA^® product range at “SMA technical seminar 2019” on February 13 in Fort Lauderdale.

An event attended by around 80 customers, cosmetic formulation experts and scientists and took place in the Marriott Coral Springs Hotel, Golf Club & Convention Center.

Guest speakers were Perry Romanowski, David Steinberg, Cindy Angerhofer Ph.D. (Aveda) and Dr. H.J. Raza, MD, PhD. Each guest speakers will be presented on current and future hot topics from the industry.

Most of the topics did proved again, that the WORESANA^® ingredients do conform perfectly to the requirements of modern US cosmetic industry.

Beside the omnipresent topics of microbiome care, organic products and sustainable production methods, the “clean beauty” trend gains increasingly in importance.

A topic that fits WORESANA^® ingredients as a glove as well. It is thus hardly surprising that their was great interest in the products and their capabilities.

All together a great start in the new cooperation with SMA Collaboratives.

WORESANA^® MICROBIOME SUPPORTING ACTIVITY

WORESANA^® ingredients are technically the result of a healthy microbial development process. Representing a healthy artificial biofilm mixture, they deliver a symbiotic group of microorganisms that aid in redeveloping the cutaneous environment.

During production our ferment is inactivated at its point of highest activity through lysis of the microorganisms, leaving a prebiotic substrate that selectively promotes cutaneous microbial growth. This specific activity became visible in a test of the metabolism activity. A highly stable lactobacilli strain culture was grown under specific conditions for a duration of 24 hours. The degree of activity was examined every two hours.

The results clearly showed that the microbial community that received 5% of WORESANA^® developed faster and more stable than the reference community without WORESANA^®. An explanation for this is in the WORESANA^® lactic acid fermentation. Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) produce bacteriocins and antifungal compounds, comparable to those present in the skin microbiome, which prevent the excessive growth of potentially harmful bacterial competitors.
The different bacteriocins do this by either promoting a competitive inhibition which destroys pathogens, or by stimulating immunomodulation. Bacteriocins are not affected through lysis. On top of that our tests showed promising results regarding the time window during redevelopment of the culture in which different WORESANA^® ingredients showed their highest influence. This is caused as the result of different bacteriocins that arise from different starting materials.

The microbial challenge tests have proven that WORESANA^® ingredients show antimicrobial activity on Staphylococcus aureus, P. acnes and Malassezia, probing both selectively enhancing and inhibiting microbial activities. The wide range of acids of WORESANA^® ingredients are not nlylowering and balancing the skins pH Value and creating an unfavourable acidic environment for pathogenic microorganisms, but they also absorb excess skin fat and gently exfoliate dead skin cells, providing ideal surface conditions.

InCosmetics Global Amsterdam 2018

At this years InCosmetics Global in Amsterdam woresan products were featured at three different booths.

At NCD Ingredients GmbH, our Distributor for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and at the woresan booth, the wider WORESANA^® product range was presented. Besides our top seller WORESANA^®rye it was the first event where we presented our new developments WORESANA^®ama and WORESANA^®buc. Obviously, we were spot on. The rising interest in fermented products, organic solutions and particularly the subject of microbiome supporting ingredients led to a huge number of interesting contacts.

This big interest was noticed by oat cosmetics as well who were presenting AURAFIRM. This fermented ingredient, based upon oat and was developed in cooperation with woresan.

Furthermore, the InCosmetics Global is always a good opportunity to meet all our distributors from around the world. Woresan took advantage of the opportunity by organizing a little “Come together” event on Amsterdam’s canals. Great weather, wine and cheese were great companions for exchange of experiences with WORESANA^® ingredients and a welcome relief from the bustle of the fair.
