WORESANA® buc – Fermented buckwheat makes sun protection even more effective

The study investigated the influence of WORESANA® buc has on the effectiveness of an SPF 30 sunscreen formulation. The tests were carried out on volunteers in accordance with recognized cosmetic SPF test standards using a solar simulator.

The results are impressive: the base formulation achieved an SPF value of 26.6, with the addition of 0.5 % WORESANA® buc the SPF increased to 29.9, and with an application concentration of 1.0 % WORESANA® buc, an SPF value of 31.9 was achieved. This corresponds to an improvement in sun protection performance of up to 20 %.

WORESANA® buc thus shows that the active ingredient not only protects the skin from the consequences of UV-induced damage, but can also increase the actual performance of sunscreen formulations.
